I'm back! Hooray! Maybe this time I'll actually stay a while. Here's why:
Recently a writing teacher presented me with an interesting idea for writing on days where I had writer's block on my main project (which is a pretty awesome novel, by the way). She gave me two sheets of paper with lists of words on them that I could cut out. One was a list of Sci-Fi settings. The other was a list of events that fit with the Sci-Fi genre. Some were more stereotypical than others. I cut them all out and put them in two separate bags so that I can draw one of each, or, if I'm feeling like a challenge, draw two settings and one event, or two events and one setting, and so on and so forth.
Basically, this will force me to start short stories regularly with plot-lines that I might not have normally thought of. Those that I really like I will try to finish and post here. This way I will hopefully be able to get some semi-regular content out that is actually story while simultaneously making progress of my main novel. I hope everybody's having an awesome summer!
